Meaning of Moonstone

As its name suggests, moonstone is a bright, feminine stone symbolizing the lunar cycles, and reflects light onto the parts of ourselves lost or forgotten. Its etherial nature convinced many in ancient times of its powers of fertility, enhanced lovemaking, and realignment of the body with the cycles of the moon. It was often used in new relationships, or as wedding gifts. It stimulates kundalini energy and opens the crown chakra.

Crystals have an incredible ability to retain information, hold energy, and cleanse energy. There is no wonder why we use them in our technology today, and there is still much to learn about them. A practice that I may suggest when you purchase a crystal or stone piece, is to take a moment in the day to sit down with it in your hand and close your eyes. Focus on your breath, feel the surfaces of it on your skin, and set an intention. Breathe it into your piece. Imagine it charging up with the energy flowing through your body, through your arms and through your hands. This practice does not need to be very long, but it must be whole-hearted.
